Welcome

7th Forum on Respiratory Tract infections

Dear Colleagues & Friends

As conference chair, it is my great pleasure to welcome you to the 7th Forum on Respiratory Tract Infections, taking place from 3rd to 5th February 2025 in the vibrant city of Glasgow. After a successful edition last year, we are excited to return to the UK for this milestone event.

The last few years have brought remarkable advancements in respiratory research, bringing respiratory tract infections into sharper focus within public health, clinical practice, and scientific exploration. The global challenges we face, particularly with antibiotic resistance and emerging diagnostic methods, have made it essential for experts across various fields to collaborate closely. Our forum remains a key platform to foster these collaborations, blending clinical expertise with cutting-edge translational research.

This year, we are proud to introduce new and pressing topics such as Antibiotic Resistance, Molecular Diagnostics, and Novel Approaches in the treatment of respiratory tract infections. In addition to these new themes, we will continue to delve into critical issues such as pneumonia, respiratory viruses, chronic lung infections, and mycobacterial and fungal diseases.

With breakthroughs in treatment, diagnostics, and vaccinology reshaping the landscape of respiratory infections, the Forum will provide an inspiring environment to explore these advances and build future collaborations. We are truly at the brink of a new era in respiratory research, one that holds great promise for patient care and scientific progress.

We warmly invite you to join us in Glasgow, engage in thought-provoking discussions, and be part of the exciting journey towards advancing respiratory health.
